We're getting married!

It's the summer of 2022, and - like many other summers in Germany - it was a hot one. Leah had fled to the only cool part of the house, the family basement, and was flicking through movies on the TV when a message popped up on her phone. It was from Toby. They had begun talking a few weeks prior and the conversation never lulled. "Would you like to go for a walk?" Toby asked. "I'm in town visiting my parents and would really like to see you." Nervously, Leah replied with a "Sure". "I'll meet in you in five minutes by the pool then" Toby replied. They would meet many more times by that pool over the course of the summer, hearts racing as they each ran down the opposing sides of the village. From that summer on, Toby and Leah have been inseparable. They’ve shared coffee and museum dates, explored New York, Washington D.C., Italy, Spain, and Greece together. They’ve navigated the closure of a school, earned two bachelor’s degrees (plus a master’s and a PhD for Toby), and weathered the trials and tribulations of long distance—always together.
