We initially met while on Albright Ski Club trips - Kayla as a student, Mark as alumni. Once Kayla graduated college she reached back out to Mark since she would be in the PA area. We met up at the infamous Legends bar with some friends and started talking after. Mark came to visit Kayla in New Jersey for a weekend of activities in NYC. We made it official that year (2015) on September 20th.

We planned our annual ski trip with friends to Telluride in January 2020 for Mark's 30th birthday. Telluride was our first ski trip as a couple and our favorite mountain town. Kayla was busy hiding birthday surprises for Mark and didn't suspect anything. Meanwhile Mark was planning the proposal with his brother Matt and sister-in-law Jeanne. Our first full day in Telluride we got some breakfast and planned to walk around town for some shopping. Mark wanted to take a picture with the beautiful box canyon backdrop on the main street. Kayla agreed (usually being the one to want to take the pictures!) and Matt had the phone ready for the proposal. Mark got down on his knee, asking Kayla to marry him, and Kayla said yes while processing pretty much every emotion (as seen on the proposal video!) Everyone who saw the proposal was cheering and the horns were honking in celebration!
