It all started thanks to a delayed date and a twist of fate... One evening, Jason had just picked his mom up from the airport and stopped at Geronimo's for a quick bite and drink. At the same time, Melanie was there to meet a date... who, as fate would have it, was running late. Rather than sit around waiting, she ordered herself a drink at the bar and struck up a conversation with the woman and son sitting next to her at the bar. Within minutes, his mom was doing what all moms do, play match maker. Jason was quiet and to himself, slightly mortified haha. But after his mom and Melanie chatted, the girls exchanged numbers. And that was that... no dramatic follow-up. Jason and Melanie hadn't gotten in contact with one another. Just strangers who briefly crossed paths... or so it seemed. Fast forward three weeks. On her way into work at the hospital one morning, she noticed an ambulance parked outside of the building she was entering. As she walked the crosswalk from the garage, she spotted a guy she was certain was him. As they crossed paths through the automatic doors, she smiled and said, "Hey, Jason!" Jason, completely caught off guard, gave a slightly confused "hi"... having no idea who had just greeted him so confidently. Unbeknownst to Melanie, she too caught his attention, not knowing she was the girl from the bar and that she'd be saying hi just a few short seconds later. (Lucky guy or what?!)
