(Maggie's version) I had been invited over to an apartment by a friend from church. When I got there, I met three brothers that lived together in that apartment and started getting to know each of them that night. Then, about an hour and a half later, Alex charged into the apartment and loudly introduced himself as the fourth roommate of the apartment and very much made his presence known. I was instantly drawn to him and thought he was hilarious, loud and confident. And it definitely helped that he's the size of a baby Sequoia tree. All wins in my book. We continued to get to know each other in a group setting and every time I was around him in that group of friends I felt the strongest connection with him. Being myself and talking to him was effortless. We played pool together one night in Sherman Oaks, CA. No one else in our friend group could come out and play so it ended up just being Alex and I. We ended up bar hopping together for 6 hours and getting to know each other better. It was that night that I realized that he gave me allllll of the butterflies and that I had developed a crush :) And the rest is history. (Alex's version) - Maggie and I met through mutual friends. We would hang out in group settings for some time before I got the courage to ask her to hang out in another group setting. Things went exactly as planned and people bailed one by one. Maggie didn't know that I was hoping to get some one on one time until I leaned in for the kiss. Even then I still don't think that she knew that that meant I was interested in getting to know her better and spend more time with her. I met her family and was immediately treated like one of them. She met my family and got to see pages of baby pictures that I never knew even existed. We continued to bond and build our relationship over our love for comedy, traveling, sushi, music and exploring what life has to offer together in the hopes that we will be able to share them with our future kids, 3 cats and who knows how many future dogs.
