Molly and Justin’s story starts about five years ago. Both graduating high school in 2019, and picking a college with the exact opposite climate of both Rochester, Minnesota, and Seattle, Washington, Molly and Justin arrived at Grand Canyon University. Although they didn’t know each other at first, or honestly until a couple years later, they actually saw each other in one of their classes freshman year, not thinking much of it at the time. The class comes and goes with not much more than a few Zoom breakout groups to be shared between the two, and another year or so goes by. Entering into their third and final year at GCU (those smart three-year graduates), it turned out that the pair actually had a mutual friend group. They never really spoke, but began to hang out together with their friends, and slowly grew to be more familiar with each other. Soon enough, graduation had come and it was time to say goodbye to GCU, but Molly and Justin had both decided to stay local to Phoenix to pursue their careers and transition into the working life. Molly and Justin soon began to form a friendship outside of college, thanks to their close mutual friends and a little place called Buffalo Chip, where they learned country swing and line dancing. The obsession took hold as the group went from dancing one, to two, to three, to FOUR TIMES A WEEK. IN THE SUMMER. WHEN IT WAS 115 DEGREES OUTSIDE. Psychos. Naturally, however, Molly and Justin bonded and grew closer over this time, becoming best friends, and igniting something they didn’t even know was there. Feelings began to form, and after a period of confusion and questioning, along with constant prayer for understanding and guidance, the first date was set. Things could not have been smoother. The worries that things would get awkward or weird in the transition of going from friends to dating were thrown out the window with the sheer joy they brought each other. Their time together was filled with laughter and sincerity, and it did not take long for Molly and Justin to fall head over heels for each other. They can truly say first hand that dating your best friend is the absolute best decision you could make. The next year went by quicker than they could’ve imagined, filled with adventures, concerts, dancing, football games, as well as constant love and prayer for each other, and before long, they knew they wanted to get married. The Lord had His hand on Molly and Justin, guided these two to each other, and they knew this was it. Justin proposed on August 31st, 2024, completely surprising Molly, and of course she said yes! All their friends and family gathered that night to celebrate with them and pray over their next chapter together. Molly and Justin are so thrilled, and so, so thankful to finally be planning their wedding. They know that none of it would be possible without the Lord's grace and kindness over their lives and relationship. The love of Christ is so evident in their relationship, and they pray to continue to grow that love for each other and for their Savior, for the rest of their lives. Thank you Jesus for the ultimate gift, and for blessing Molly and Justin as they embark on the sacred journey of marriage together. They are so thankful for the Lord's guidance, for the support of their friends and family, and they are overjoyed to celebrate with you this coming spring. We'll see you soon!
