Our story began when Edwin introduced himself to Heather during a work trip. Although we worked in different offices, fate (and a shared love of aviation) kept putting us in the same places at the same time. We kept bumping into each other — and somewhere between trainings and conferences, sparks started to fly. What followed was a five-year long-distance relationship that spanned multiple time zones and more airports than we could count. From late-night phone calls to weekend visits, we learned how to stay close even when miles apart. It wasn’t always easy, but every mile — and every airport reunion — was worth it. Two years ago, we took the long-awaited step of beginning our life together in Texas, trading plane tickets for shared groceries and a place to call home. Then, last New Year’s Eve — beneath a sky illuminated by fireworks and the new year stretching out before us — Edwin proposed on our balcony. And that moment became the start of our forever. Now, we’re getting ready for our next big adventure — together, in the same place, and forever on the same team.
