We met as classmates at Mandeville High but got to really know each other as the editors of our high school newspaper. Even though our lives have led us to the law rather than to journalism, not much has changed about the way we feel about each other since we started officially being Ryan and Madison back in 2010.

Ryan proposed during the fireworks show, Wishes, in Disney's Magic Kingdom on December 14, 2016. Having spent time working as a certain Disney character, Madison couldn't have imagined a better place to be asked than in Disney World surrounded by family. When Ryan asked her to marry him, Madison answered, "Of course I will." The best fairy tale ever.

In case you need an update, after the engagement in December, Madison graduated from LSU Law, Ryan transferred to Tulane Law, and they (with Cricket and Frank in tow) said goodbye to Baton Rouge and hello to New Orleans where Madison started her new job at Jones Walker. The two of us couldn't be happier to be living in the Big Easy and to be much closer to our families. And speaking of families, we cannot thank our parents enough for everything they've done to make our wedding and this new chapter in our lives so wonderful. We love y'all!
