The bride and groom have known each other for many years. They first met in elementary school, then eventually sang in choir together all four years of highschool. Eventually they both went to college (in different states) and kept in touch here and there. After noticing Tara had moved back home and was newly single, Tyler sent a message on instagram asking for her new number and the rest was history!
"We were on vacation in the Outer Banks with his family. Before we went, we both decided to set aside a day to have dinner on our own. Tyler picked the restaurant, it was right on the bay with beatiful views. We ate a yummy dinner, had delicious cucumber lemonade cocktails and chatted for a long while. After dinner, Tyler took us to a lighthouse nearby to take some pictures. We took pictures then took a walk on the beach. We found a piece of driftwood, and while I was looking for seashells, Tyler set up the camera and very secretly got the ring ready. Right after he set the timer, he got down on one knee and popped the question! It was planned so perfectly and I had zero clue what was going on until I saw him on one knee!" - Tara
