Where is the wedding located?

Answer

The wedding and reception will be at the Old Inn at Cacapon State Park. The Old Inn is located near Cacapon Lodge at 818 Cacapon Lodge Drive Berkeley Springs, WV. The Old inn is located below the lodge, via a right turn onto Saddle Lane. If you reach the lodge, you've gone too far. Link to Google Maps Location: https://bit.ly/oldinncacaponcoordinates

What is the dress attire?

Answer

Casual Dress. Wedding and reception will be held in mostly grassy areas outdoors, so skip the stilettos. Wedding colors are above if you feel inclined! 🙂

What’s the drink situation?

Answer

We will have water, lemonade and canned sodas. There will be one signature cocktail - as well as wine and beer available. The lodge has a bar for after the wedding if you’re staying!

Will there be food?

Answer

Of course! We will have light snacks for cocktail hour and a BBQ food truck post-ceremony.

What time does this shindig start?

Answer

Cocktail hour is at 2pm and optional! The ceremony will start at 3pm, followed by food truck opening at 3:30-4pm and a live bluegrass band.

Are kids welcome?

Answer

While we love your little ones, we’d suggest leaving the younger ones at home so everyone can relax and enjoy the evening.

Do you have any hotel recommendations?

Answer

We have a room block at the Cacapon Lodge for a discounted rate, however, there is a two night minimum. You must call 304-258-1022 to reserve the discounted rate underneath the Sawyers/Edelen room block. There are a few additional options in the area. Look at the travel page for more recommendations!

What else is there to do in the area?

Answer

Cacapon State Park has 20 miles of hiking trails and a golf course. Within an hour of Berkeley Springs, is the historic Harper's Ferry with hiking, breweries and restaurants. Virginia Wine Country is not far either if you're making a long weekend out of this trip.

How is parking?

Answer

There is a paved parking lot past the Old Inn on the left, we will fill that lot first. Please, if you are planning on staying at Cacapon lodge or in a cabin, consider parking at the lodge or at your cabin. We will fill the gravel lot if the paved lot becomes full. The driveway in front of the Old Inn must remain open for the food truck to arrive.
