I first met Tyler working at the BCH Family Birth Center. He was working as a Labor & Delivery Technician, and I was working as a Patient Care Associate on post partum. All of our coworkers told me we'd hit it off, but little did I know this incredibly kind man who took such wonderful and careful care of stranger's families would one day become my husband. His sunshiney disposition and eternal optimism never failed to impress me, so when he asked me out to dinner a year later I was absolutely ecstatic. We shared a tiramisu and talked about our dreams and our futures...I've loved him every day since.
Tyler surprised me with tickets to the Blossoms of Light exhibit at the Denver Botanic Gardens. As we were walking to the first exhibit, I noticed some people holding a lit up sign that said, "Marry Me?" Much to my delight, I turned to Tyler. I was so excited at the prospect of another couple's proposal. Much to my surprise, Tyler got down on one knee. I must've said yes a thousand times. That was when I realized that the people holding the sign were some of my best and dearest friends. Emily Wilkinson, Cait Welch, and Kate Limebrook were all able to celebrate with me. It was the sweetest, most romantic night of my life.
