Tammy and Peter originally met as coworkers. It didn’t take long for them to realize that they were quite compatible and had similar tastes in many things. One of their first and most memorable moments was when Peter offered Tammy some chocolate during one of their afternoon breaks. At the time, Tammy decided to save it for later and had no idea there was a note tucked into the wrapper - it was one of those gold Ferrero Rocher chocolates. Throughout the rest of the day, Peter would intermittently ask Tammy if she had eaten the chocolate. Thinking it was very odd that he kept asking, Tammy decided to eat it right in front of him to appease him. The look of surprise on Peter’s face was priceless while Tammy unknowingly tossed the wrapper in the trash—not realizing the note had fallen off at some point and had gone unnoticed. To this day, Peter insists there was a note attached to that chocolate while Tammy believes it was impossible for her to have not noticed it if it was really there.

Peter completely surprised Tammy during their summer vacation in Naples, FL. He managed to choose a ring and keep it hidden for months right under her nose until he popped the question. (Tammy is usually difficult to surprise) Towards the end of their dinner at a beautiful beachside restaurant, with the sun setting on the horizon, their server brought out their “dessert”. Without thinking, Tammy picked up the plate ready to eat it but realized there was something stuck inside the chocolate— a piece of paper. A note that was so unexpected and would be considered one of Peter’s best surprises.
