We met on a blind date for breakfast. A mutual acquaintance gave Katie my phone number even when I told her not to... turns out, I'm glad she didn't listen to me. A couple days later I got an awkward and sweet text from Katie asking me to meet her on a date. We settled on breakfast and just talked for hours. A couple hours after the date, I knew I wanted to see her again... - T

After finding some kittens in the parking lot of Trystin's old apartment complex, we went to the local shelter, asking for help or resources to help the kittens. Now, who can go to a shelter without looking at all the dogs, cats, and other animals? Certainly not us... We fell in love with a kitten at the shelter, went home, and talked long and hard about adopting that kitten. It was meant to be that we would continue our search at another shelter, as that is where we found Zelda, our spunky Tortie cat. Nearly a year later, we wanted to adopt another kitten so that Zelda would have a playmate and another companion. We thought the cards weren't in our hands to adopt at that time, but fate has its ways. One night I received a text from my sister, who works at a vets office, about an 8-week old kitten, found in the streets and needing a home. After more long conversations, we decided to adopt the little kitten, Suki. As much as these two girls are in a toddler phase and can drive us crazy at times, they are an extension of our hearts and the start of our little fur-baby family. - K

We always talked about our future together. Traveling, where we would plant our roots, our goals and dreams, everything we could share with each other, we wanted to. We couldn't wait to see what was in store for us and the little fur-baby family we had started. The first major step in our journey, marriage. We started making wedding plans, looked at a lot of rings and we rushed to get them as soon as we could. Katie got one for me and I got one for her. Without knowing it, we would have ended up proposing to each other at the exact same time... but Katie just couldn't wait and overflowing with excitement, she proposed to me a week before she planned.
