Tyler and Kirsten met through a mutual friend at work, the kind of friend who hands you a phone number on a sticky note and says, “Trust me.” Not expecting anything to come from it, Kirsten texted Tyler that same night after getting home from work. They small-talked for a while… and then never stopped talking. A few days later, Tyler asked Kirsten out on their first official date to Dave & Buster’s for games and drinks. Kirsten said yes without a single hesitation. But by Wednesday, neither of them could wait until Sunday, so Tyler asked her to meet for drinks at a local restaurant. Both were secretly relieved they didn’t have to wait any longer to see each other again. Sunday rolled around, and that’s when Tyler learned one of Kirsten’s most unforgettable skills: navigation, as it turned out, the lack of it. While trying to find Dave & Buster’s, Tyler drove down 28th Street following Kirsten’s confident directions. They both got so excited spotting a Trader Joe’s sign that they completely missed the enormous sign for their actual destination. To this day, Tyler still drives, and Kirsten still gives directions. Since that first date, they’ve shared countless adventures: vacations, late-night hospital trips, disagreements, makeups, laughter, hugs, and more memories than they can count. Through every high and every hard moment, one thing has always made it through to the other side love. And now, that love is leading them to their next chapter: their wedding.
