I first saw Tim while I was participating in a mandatory orientation for work. We had to walk through the store to get familiarized with where items were. He was in one of the last aisles and I remember thinking "OH! He is really cute!". I would have never spoken to him if it wasn't for a mutual friend/coworker Damon. He listened to me talk about Tim all the time and finally decided to introduce us. It was a couple of weeks with just talking at work until I finally built up the courage to message him on Facebook. A couple days later he asked me to hang out and the rest is history. Here we are, almost 8 years later- just two kids who fell in love and decided on forever.
We both love being in New York City. We have taken numerous trips and even stayed over for a night in November of 2017 for a Joe Rogan comedy show. Its like our little get-a-way. With all the trips we made, I have never been to Central Park, so put that on the list to visit while we were there. We first went to a very cute Italian cafe and had a drink with some appetizers. We decided to hit one more bar before heading to Central Park. Tim finished his drink within 2 minutes and was pressuring me to chug mine so we could go to the park. I thought it was a little weird considering we just got there, but I took the challenge and chugged my drink. As we walked into the park he told me he wanted to find a quiet area, which by the way is nearly impossible in New York City, but we eventually came to a secluded bench with a beautiful floral scenery. I loved the bench so much I immediately sat down and was searching for my phone so we could take a picture. In the process of digging through my purse he told me he was having fun with me and asked me if I knew what would make it better....i was about to say "another drink" but before the words could come out he was down on one knee asking me to marry him. It took me what felt like forever, but was only maybe 10 seconds, to get the words YES to come out of my mouth. I was speechless. You always think you know how you're going to react when the proposal comes.....I ugly cried! Pure joy and excitement to marry my best friend.
