None of us would be at this wedding if it weren't for Maddie, who was the first to hear of Olivia's "embarrassing" crush on Matt before they started dating - and ultimately convincing Olivia to give it a chance. Maddie and Olivia met in college their sophomore year, quickly became best friends and later, roommates. Olivia admires how Maddie is a complete social butterfly at any function, a dazzling human being who is down for just about anything, and most importantly, her most cherished friend for the past six years. When all of the pomp and circumstance of the wedding is through, Olivia most looks forward to dancing to Pitbull with Maddie and the rest of her girls on the dance floor to close out the night.
DeJanae Benton

DeJanae and Olivia met through word-of-mouth from a mutual high school band instructor, ultimately resulting in Olivia signing a blind lease within "Stick House", joining five clarinet players as the only "non-stick" roommate. Despite being in completely different sections and never having met prior to the move, DeJanae and Olivia became fast friends and confidantes, and shared a bedroom in said house for three years. Some of Olivia's most cherished memories of college life have been late-night shenanigans with DeJanae. Among DeJanae's countless amazing qualities is a quick wit, commitment to the bit, and a ride-or-die friendship that Olivia is forever grateful for.
Kaitlyn Colyer

Kaitlyn and Olivia met as piccolo players in the MMB in 2018, and have been best friends since. In addition to changing the world with the Department of Justice, starting law school this fall, and working extensively to mentor high schoolers in the marching band and drum corps circuit, Kaitlyn also manages her own wedding coordination business as a side hustle (because really, what doesn't the girl do?) and will likely be managing any one of Olivia's freak-outs on the day of. Olivia is so grateful to Kaitlyn for her persevering friendship and endless capacity for service, and couldn't be more honored to know her.
Lydia Longton

Lydia and Olivia met back in preschool, and literally have not stopped talking since then. Lydia is loquacious and bubbly, and has absolutely never met a stranger. Many a sleepover since they were girls together was spent imagining their respective wedding days, and Olivia couldn't be prouder to have Lydia at her side during hers. Lydia and Olivia are in-sync in just about every way, finishing each others' sentences, and are unconditional "sisters from another mister." Matt better be prepared to spend a lifetime with Olivia... with Lydia naturally attached to her hip.
Hannah Shore

Hannah is Olivia's cousin, one year younger. Over the past 24, going on 25 years together, they've supported one another by attending each other's many dance recitals and school musicals, rolling at least like, a hundred thousand nut rolls with their family for Christmas, and spending many a sleepover singing Disney duets from YouTube in their grandparents' computer room (where Hannah often sang the guy part and never once complained). Olivia deeply admires Hannah's gentle kindness and steady presence in their lives.
Alexandra Wolfthal

Alex and Olivia met as a part of that same blind roommate deal that landed Olivia as the only piccolo player in a house full of sticks (clarinets). Despite being in different instrument sections, years, and college programs, Alex and Olivia became fast friends, and somehow, managed to not kill each other whilst living alone in a house together for 6 months in 2020 (there was a lot of binge-watching entire shows on Netflix during that time). Alex is absolutely hilarious and a proudly passionate friend, and has been a total blessing of a YES-woman for Olivia throughout this entire wedding planning experience.
Ryan Rudy
Best Man
Ryan is Matt's older brother and someone Matt has always looked up to. From sleepovers in the same bedroom as kids, to long summer days on the job site working, Ryan has always been a great mentor, friend, coworker, drinking buddy... the list goes on. Ryan has Matt's deepest appreciation just for being his big brother.
Rachel Rudy
Best Woman
Rachel is Matt's younger sister and destined to be the most successful of the Rudy siblings. Growing up with two older brothers could not have been easy but she has managed to out to both of them in just about every way. Famously Rachel exchanged the secret of the engagement with our Dad in exchange for a "good secret" of his (What he got Mom for Christmas...)
Mark Boeve

One of two Marks standing in this wedding, Matt and Mark met as trumpet players in the MMB, lived in the same dorm during their sophomore year, and then became roommates in the now infamous 507 Benjamin St house. Always down for anything, and guaranteed to be the life of a party, Mark is the kind of friend who will always back you up.
Andrew Rellinger

Andrew is another of Matt's roommates at the 507 Benjamin St. house and another trumpet player. Andrew is easily the most interesting character of the bunch. From growing mushrooms in the basement of the house, to solo backpacking in Alaska, any conversation with Andrew is bound to lead to an interesting story and inspiration for a new hobby.
Mark Stout

Matchmaker matchmaker make me a match.... If it weren't for Mark, Matt would have never had the chance to meet Olivia at Mark's birthday bonfire. Matt and Mark met as fellow trumpet players in the MMB and later became roommates. Mark has always been a reliable friend, and as the only person on this list who has experience planning a wedding, has spent the last several months graciously answering Matt's numerous questions.
Benjamin Tjernlund

Ben is Olivia's younger (and favorite) brother. Matt and Ben have silently bonded watching just about every sport there is together in the Tjernlund house accompanied by Ken's (Olivia and Ben's dad) frequently colorful commentary. Ben is always good for a laugh around the family dinner table and will never back down from a challenge. Matt appreciates how welcoming Ben has been of him into the Tjernlund family.
Alexander Peck

Alex met Matt and Olivia in college, as Matt's roommate and fellow trumpet player in the marching band. There is so much we could say about Alex, from his terrible jokes to his questionable YouTube playlists, but he's also guaranteed to fill any room with laughter, and has the biggest heart out of anyone that we know. Giving Alex unadulterated access to a microphone and a captive audience may be the biggest risk that we take on our wedding day, but we couldn't think of anyone more apt to marry us, and no one who could honor us more by doing so.
