In short, no. Enough people have been vaccinated that we feel comfortable following CDC guidelines to not wear masks. But, we also understand if some people are not ready to be out on the dance floor with us just yet. Feel free to wear a mask if it makes you more comfortable.
3pm everyday
Yes, the bus will depart from Wisp at 3:50pm to be at Chanteclaire by 4:10pm. Feel free to drive as well and even consider leaving your car at the venue. The bus will depart from Chanteclaire back to Wisp at 11pm (end of the reception), 12am (part way through the bonfire), and 1am (end of the bonfire).
If you drive, we encourage you to keep a comfortable change of clothes in your car that you can put on after the reception. There will be places to change. If you are using our shuttle, there are a few places were you can stash a change of clothes at the venue, but space may be limited. A small duffle bag may not be a bad idea.
We will be providing an optional shuttle to Chanteclaire Farms from Wisp and back (finalized times to follow). Unfortunately, there is no uber/ lyft or cabs in the area so please be mindful during the weekend.
Absolutely! If you don't know what we are talking about here, just wait...
Alexa's and Tristan's families have been coming to Deep Creek Lake for over 30 years. Deep Creek Lake and Garrett County hold a special memories in both their hearts. After they started dating, they found out their families homes were less then a half mile from each other, much to both their mother's delights.
Apparently yes. What caused the misprint? It could have been us as we were juggling residency, finishing a masters degree, planning a wedding, working full time, postponing a wedding, interviewing for jobs, and planning a move to Pittsburgh during a global pandemic. However, we believe it was the printing companies fault.
We jumped in the lake with our clothes on because we thought it would be fun and make a good pun for our save the dates. Also, Tristan reasoned that if he was soaking wet you couldn't tell how sweaty he was at the time.
