There are dozens of great AirBnB options while staying in and around Portland. If you would like to be more in the city with walkable areas and things to do, we recommend these neighborhoods: South Portland, Sellwood, John's Landing (nice walking paths along the river, close to kayaking and other outdoor activities. This is a quieter family area of Portland but still has great food and cafes). 20 minutes to venue. Hawthorne, Alberta, and Belmont (older areas of East Portland that have great walkability to food and cafe's. Definitely the most known for the Portland food scene!) 25 minutes to venue. Northwest, Pearl District (these are newer, up-and-coming areas of Northwest Portland. Great food, very walkable and plenty of boutique shopping options). 25 minutes to venue. If you don't want to stay in Portland we recommend these cities: Lake Oswego, West Linn, Tualatin, & Tigard: Very close to the venue (5-10 minutes) and all quiet suburbs of Portland.
