City of Northampton
Downtown Northampton is packed with shops, restaurants, and bars and is sure to have something for everyone. If live music is your thing, check out the Calvin Theater or Iron Horse Music Hall. If off-roading is your thing, bring your 4x4 and tackle the MaBell Trail (which T.J. and his Jeep have been known to climb).
Town of Amherst
A short trip down Route 9 from Haydenville and Northampton, Amherst is the embodiment of a college town. Downtown is always bustling thanks to the variety of restaurants, shops, and bars, and the town common is always packed with students getting high on the college experience. Antonio's Pizza and The Hangar Bar & Grill are the hands-down must-visit restaurants in town. If you're looking to get sloppy drunk, visit McMurhphy's Uptown Tavern or Monkey Bar. If you're looking to get drunk but do so in a classy manner, visit The Spoke. If you're looking for the best cider donuts in Massachusetts, visit Atkins Farms Country Market. If the outdoors are your cup of tea, hit the trails in Mount Holyoke Range State Park.
UMass Amherst
In addition to everything else Amherst has to offer, it is also home to the flagship campus of the University of Massachusetts, where Caitlin and T.J. met and received their world class public educations. Take a walk around the Campus Pond, check out the great views from the top floor of the library, marvel at the finest Cold War-era architecture this side of Moscow, and enjoy a delicious meal at the Worcester Dining Commons, where Caitlin and T.J. had their first date (don't let Caitlin tell you otherwise). Don't forget to visit the Campus Store to pick up gear to commemorate the 2021 NCAA Division 1 Men's Ice Hockey National Champion UMass Minutemen, as well.
Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame
A short ride from Haydenville and Northampton down Interstate 91, the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame is a must-visit for diehard Houpes fans.
