Get ready for a classic Italian summer! Late August in Puglia is typically very warm, dry and sunny, with daytime temperatures often reaching into the mid-80s °F. A gentle sea breeze often provides a welcome relief from the heat. The evenings are warm and comfortable, perfect for dining al fresco. We recommend light, breathable fabrics like linen, cotton, silk, or chiffon and a light shawl or jacket for cooler evening breezes.

For your safety and comfort, we strongly recommend avoiding stilettos or thin heels. Light fabrics, linen shirts, nice shorts or trousers, summer dresses, skirts. This is a semi-dressy evening by the water! -Wedding Ceremony & Reception: Summer Formal; Ladies are invited to wear floor-length gowns or elegant cocktail dresses. Gentlemen should wear a suit (tie optional but encouraged). -Farewell Poolside Luncheon: Casual & Swim; Relaxed attire is welcome! Come as you are, ready for a pizza lunch and pool time. Think swimsuits, cover-ups, shorts, t-shirts, and sandals.

Puglia is known for its simple, rustic cuisine that features fresh, simple, local and seasonal ingredients and olive oil. Note that dinner is typically served later in Italy (often starting around 8:30 PM or 9:00 PM). Some famous Puglian foods you should try are taralli, focaccia barese, panzerotti, local seafood and orecchiette pasta.
