Question

What is the weather like in August in Puglia?

Answer

Get ready for a classic Italian summer! Late August in Puglia is typically very warm, dry and sunny, with daytime temperatures often reaching into the mid-80s °F. A gentle sea breeze often provides a welcome relief from the heat. The evenings are warm and comfortable, perfect for dining al fresco. We recommend light, breathable fabrics like linen, cotton, silk, or chiffon and a light shawl or jacket for cooler evening breezes.

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Yes. Please be aware that all of our events will take place outdoors and will involve walking on surfaces like grass, sand, gravel, and stone. For your safety and comfort, we strongly recommend avoiding stilettos or thin heels. Block heels, wedges, flats, or dressy sandals are highly encouraged! - Welcome Dinner: Coastal Chic; Think elevated summer styles! Light fabrics, linen shirts, nice shorts or trousers, summer dresses, skirts. This is a semi-dressy evening by the water! -Wedding Ceremony & Reception: Summer Formal; Ladies are invited to wear floor-length gowns or elegant cocktail dresses. Gentlemen should wear a suit (tie optional but encouraged). -Farewell Poolside Luncheon: Casual & Swim; Relaxed attire is welcome! Come as you are, ready for a pizza lunch and pool time. Think swimsuits, cover-ups, shorts, t-shirts, and sandals.

Question

I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?

Answer

Yes! Please include any dietary restrictions on your RSVP.

Question

What is the currency and should I carry cash?

Answer

The currency is the Euro (€). While credit cards are widely accepted, especially in hotels and larger restaurants, cash is recommended for smaller purchases and local markets.

Question

What should I know about dining in Puglia?

Answer

Puglia is known for its simple, rustic cuisine that features fresh, simple, local and seasonal ingredients and olive oil. Note that dinner is typically served later in Italy (often starting around 8:30 PM or 9:00 PM). Some famous Puglian foods you should try are taralli, focaccia barese, panzerotti, local seafood and orecchiette pasta.
