We’re getting married!

Butterflies: It all started as teenagers, crossing paths at a birthday celebration at Tiyannah’s aunt house. Tiyannah's aunt and Sereness’ mother, were colleagues who developed a friendship. Sereness’ mother brought him along to the party that day. The attraction was immediate! Although what most people would say is just a teenage crush, they both felt mutual spark that carried assurance that something beautiful existed between them that could stand the test of time. BUT… they were still only 15 and 16 years old. Tiyannah residing in Washington DC and Sereness in Virginia, the distance made a crush seem impossible at that age. Yet, when you truly feel a sense of belonging; no distance, obstacle, or individual can sever the connection, attraction, and love that is meant to be together. There were fleeting moments where they would reunite. One of those memorable moments was Sereness’s 16th birthday party. Tiyannah attended the birthday party, reaffirming the mutual feelings as they danced together all night. Although still “just friends”, our fated teenage couple found themselves together again as dates for Tiyannah’s prom. Following prom, Tiyannah and Sereness would occasionally cross paths at family and friend gatherings or by chance encounters at the VCU Bookstore, but their connection never solidified. That is, until 2013…. Made for Me: In 2013, Tiyannah and Sereness reconnected during a visit to Sereness's mother's house. They quickly recognized their shared interests and engaged in conversation, which flirtatiously flowed effortlessly. Afterwards Tiyannah eventually decided to reach out to Sereness by commenting on an old Instagram post, questioning why they hadn't exchanged contact information. While each balanced work, school, and not to mention the new long distance (Tiyannah in the DMV and Sereness in Florida), Tiyannah and Sereness FINALLY exchanged numbers. Shortly after, Sereness graduated from Full Sail University and landed a job back in Maryland. Upon moving back, he asked Tiyannah on a date to a live show that marked the start of an undeniable bond filled with memorable moments together. The overwhelming joy of their relationship was furthered even more by the birth of their beautiful and bright daughter, Summer in 2015. She brought a deeper connection and love to their relationship they didn’t believe could exist! Together, they navigated the journey of parenthood, careers, responsibilities, and their shared goals for the future. Best Part: In 2022, Tiyannah, Sereness, and Summer courageously relocated to Florida. The joy of experiencing a new city together brought them closer than ever. Their love reached a new height during a Thanksgiving night like no other. Sereness humbly knelt before the love of his life, surrounded by family and friends, to ask for her hand in marriage…completing the circle of their love! Over the years their love has remained unyielding, authentic, memorable and joyful. In the fabric of time, their love shines brightly: a masterpiece crafted, a dream eternally.
