"A family is like a tree, it can bend but it cannot break!

On a Wednesday night, we met at a youth bible study at Wheeler Avenue Baptist Church in the summer of 2014. As Ryan entered the room, she was looking for a spot to sit and eventually ended up sitting next to Titus. Once Ryan sat down, Titus immediately introduced himself by saying, "Hi, my name is Titus Bryant and I think you are beautiful". In shock, Ryan hesitantly said "thank you" and introduced herself. Throughout the remainder of the summer, Ryan and Titus stayed in contact with each other. In the fall of 2015, Ryan and Titus both attended Jack Yates High School together and remained friends until Ryan's senior year in high school 2016. Ryan and Titus ended up both going to Prairie View A&M University where their relationship began to flourish and both graduated with bachelor's degrees. Titus and Ryan dated for almost five years until he proposed on May 2nd, 2020.

On May 2nd, 2019, Titus and Ryan went on a picnic at Allen Parkway around noon. They privately enjoyed a picnic near the Houston Police Department Monument spending quality time, enjoying delicious snacks, and sharing laughs. After enjoying the picnic they climbed the monument until we reached the top where Titus asked Ryan if she would like to continue their journey together of reaching new heights to which she said yes, of course. As she heard a group of people coming towards their direction she turned around to see that it was all of her friends; when she turned back around Titus was on his knee as he asked if she would like to spend her life with him. Filled with emotion and excitement she said "yes"!
