We're getting married!

Titus and Kate grew up in Eureka, IL where they both attended high school, becoming friends through shared activities and experiences. Kate finished up high school in the spring of 2018, while Titus, after graduating in 2017, took a gap year in Eau Claire, WI. They both chose to attend Northern Illinois University in Dekalb and continued to develop their friendship. After spending some time talking in a few local coffee shops, they were ready to take their relationship to the next stage. On Sept 9th, 2018, Titus took Kate to a local festival, known as Kite Fest where he asked her to start dating. Kate said yes, of course. Over time, their love for each other grew as they attended Brightfield Church together and built a community in DeKalb, IL. Two years later, in September 2020, Titus talked to Kate, her parents, and bought a ring at a local jewelry shop (woot woot!). On Tuesday, Oct. 13th, Kate is quoted as saying "I have zero percent confidence that Titus is going to propose today" and had to be coaxed by her roommates to paint her nails before she left the house for what Kate thought was just a breakfast date, since it was Tuesday. At approximately 12pm in Geneva at Island Park (after Titus finally convinced Kate to stop watching the ducks nearby) Titus asked Kate to spend the rest of her life with him. She said YES! Since then, they have been busy wedding planning, apartment hunting, and Titus has recently taken on the role of leading a small group at Brightfield Church. :) We are so excited to get married and are looking forward to celebrating with you!
