Dylan and Alissa meet the summer of 2021 at a bar. We became pool partners for a little friendly competition. Pool was neither of our forte that night. Our friendly competition quickly turned into more of a fun, playful banter. And before we knew it, winning the game wasn’t on our minds—It was how easy talking to each other was, how laughing was so easy, and how this game, just like life, was a little more fun when we were on the same team. Fast forward to now, and it feels like we’ve played this game together every day since—except now, we’re teaming up in everything from adventures, to jet skiing on the gulf; where the only thing that’s more exhilarating than the speed is being beside you. And lets not forget our two dogs—our fur babies who’ve quickly become the third wheel in our relationship, and, honestly, I wouldn’t have it any other way. Whether we’re watching them chase each other around the yard or cuddling on the couch, they remind us of the simple joys of life, just like the time we spent getting to know each other. And though we both thought we were walking into that bar just to have some drinks with friends and go back home, now we know we were actually walking into the rest of our life. I’m ready to keep having these adventures with you by my side, for the rest of our days.
