When Titan and Emily were 16 they both worked at Sonny James. They didn't really speak unless Emily had to tell him something work related. Titan listened to music very loudly in his earbuds—loud enough to hear lyrics when you walked by. At 16, Emily thought that was cool because she did the same. She also figured out they had similar taste in music. Now, this fond memory makes her think of the hearing loss he'll experience in the future. Jumping to their 20's, Emily started attending Watermark Church's young adults night with Grace—Titan's sister-in-law. As the group whittled down to just them, Emily grew more excited to see Titan each week. She started baking him something new every week and if there was anything going on with her truck, she'd ask Titan to fix it. Still, he did not get the hint for over a month until his neighbor said, "So when are you going to ask her out?", to which Titan replied, "Well, do you think she likes me?". Without Dudley they possibly may never have even had a first date. Eventually the two went to a movie for their first official date. Emily watched 3 agonizing hours of Dune 2 just to go out with him. Titan still was not sure if Emily was interested. A few weeks later, Titan officially asked Emily to be his girlfriend. Now did he know she liked him? Probably not. Months later they went on a trip to California together. Titan met nearly all Emily's family and friends. They also visited every important place to Emily. When Titan got back home, his mom asked how being together for over a week was. He replied, "I think she's the one." A couple months later, Titan took Emily to one of her favorite overpriced restaraunts. That's one reason she knows he loves her—he doesn't mind her unfortunate love of overpriced things (even clothes!). They walked to the Stockyards and headed towards the river walk. Once they reached the end, Titan turned to Emily. She knew what was happening. All the butterflies in her stomach went a little too crazy and she got nauseous—but a happy nauseous! She can barely even remember what he said when he was on one knee because she was ugly-sobbing so hard. Now they are here, planning their wedding!
