Their Story

First came work, then came fun, then came his kids plus one!

Lee and Tisha met through work. At the time, Lee was looking to keep busy on top of his full-time job at Kuhio Auto Group. He decided on a part-time job in the evening at Genki Sushi where Tisha was managing at the time. After a while of working together, they started to talk story. One day, Tisha cut her hand really badly with a serrated knife that got her to stay out of work for two weeks. Kelsie, Tisha's bridesmaid, kept insisting that she go to Vegas with Lee. He was going the next day (for work and pleasure). Not comfortably knowing each other, Tisha was hesitant. But, after Kelsie being so persistent for a full 6-hour shift (with what felt like an eternity), Lee got his way. The next day they both flew out to Vegas. Since then, they'd make trips to Koke'e, getting to know each other. You could say they became the best of friends. One night Lee said, "I have a four-letter word to tell you, but I just don't know how." Tisha being her Portuguese self said, "okay what is it?" Lee then said, "I love you." Tisha looking confused and trying to process a four-letter WORD, not realizing in her mind she was thinking four words. Lee then paused in anticipation waiting for her response. After catching herself she then replied, "I do too, I love you too". Fast forward a few years they got blessed with a baby boy, Oliver. Their journey of getting pregnant and staying pregnant was/is not as easy - but they definitely count their blessings with him. Now, together they celebrate the journey that lay ahead for these two.
