When should I RSVP by?

We kindly ask that all guests RSVP no later than July 12, 2025.

How do I RSVP?

Answer

You can RSVP directly through the ‘RSVP’ page of this website! You will be directed to enter your last name and will then be directed to RSVP for the ceremony and cocktail hour/reception. If there are additional members in your party, you will be able to RSVP for them as well.

Is there a dress code?

Answer

The dress code is black-tie optional/formal. For men this may include a suit, or tuxedo if preferred, with a tie or bow tie. For women this may include mid-length or floor length dresses.

Are there any colors I shouldn’t wear?

Answer

We ask that you do not wear white, beige, or off-white, but feel free to wear any other color!

Although we love your little ones, we kindly request no children.

Can I bring a plus one?

Answer

Unfortunately, we are limited on space so we kindly ask that you do not bring any additional guests that are not included on the wedding invitation and RSVP page of the website.

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

The ceremony will begin at 4:30PM. We kindly ask all guests to arrive at the ceremony, and be seated no later than 4:15PM.

Where is the ceremony?

Answer

The ceremony will be held on the Kitty Hawk Pier, which can be accessed by the entry located to the left of the entrance to the Pier House (5353 N Virginia Dare Trail, Kitty Hawk, NC 27949).

Where is the cocktail hour and reception?

Answer

The cocktail hour and reception will follow the ceremony. The cocktail hour will be held both on the Pier and inside the Pier House. The reception will be held inside the Pier House (5353 N Virginia Dare Trail, Kitty Hawk, NC 27949).

The reception is scheduled to end at 10:00PM.

Do you have any hotel recommendations? Have you reserved room blocks?

Answer

We have reserved room blocks at the Hilton Garden Inn in Kitty Hawk, NC which owns the Kitty Hawk Pier & Pier House. The hotel is walking distance to the venue (and shares a parking lot with it)! You can access the room blocks and book your stay via the link we’ve provided for the Hilton Garden Inn on the ‘Accommodations & Travel’ page of this website. There is a two night minimum for guests booking through the room blocks link but if you’d just like to stay at this hotel for one night, you can book directly through the main website. We have also provided other accommodation recommendations that are close to the venue on the ‘Accommodations & Travel’ page of the website.

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

If you are staying at the Hilton Garden Inn, the front desk should provide you with a parking pass upon check-in. For guests attending the wedding, but will not be staying at the Hilton, there will be parking passes available for you upon arrival. Please ensure to place the parking pass where visible in your car. Guests not staying at the Hilton will also be able to leave their cars at the venue overnight, if needed.

The closest airport to the venue is the Norfolk International Airport - located about 1.5 hours from the OBX. We've included travel/airport information in the 'Accommodations & Travel" section of this website.

What type of food will be served?

Answer

We will have several appetizers during the cocktail hour. There will also be a dinner buffet during the reception with two entree options.
