Although we'd seen each other around the office for months, we officially met through mutual friends at a work happy hour. We quickly hit it off and made plans to go out with a group of friends the next day. We ended up spending the entire night glued to each other's side. From then on, the rest is history. We're so excited to celebrate our love with all of our favorite people in the mountains that mean so much to us!
We were only a couple of weeks into quarantine when we decided that we had to get out of Atlanta and escape to our family house in the mountains in Glenville, NC. After getting there late Friday night, we planned to go on a hike the next day with my parents. That morning, it was quickly decided we'd go on the hike alone. When we pulled into the Whiteside Mountain parking lot, there were signs saying the trail was closed due to COVID-19. Will insisted we go anyway since we saw other people on the trail, so off we went. Taking the less crowded route (for reasons not obvious at the time), we made our way up the mountain. At the first scenic overlook, Will got down on one knee. When we got back to the house, we were welcomed with loving arms by not only my parents, but Will's parents who made the drive all the way from LaGrange, GA. We're truly blessed with families that have been so supportive throughout our journey since the very beginning!
