Man of Honor
Curtis and I have been best friends since the middle of high school. We went through out emo scene kids phase together (to be honest, we still aren't done). He is my brother from another mother. If anyone asks, we tell them we are siblings because our bond is that strong. He is the double to my trouble!
Bridesmaid
Nicholas's sister is a true delight. She has been nothing but the best in both her support of her brother and her acceptance of me. From the moment I met her, she welcomed me like family and I felt nothing but love. You can tell that silliness and joy runs in the family. Plus, I think she likes me better!
Bridesmaid
Lauren has been a great friend for about a decade, if not more. Both her and her husband have been true family to us and we couldn't have asked for more. Lauren is a great listener and has always given great advice when needed. She has shared in hard moments and has been there for the good ones. She also makes me feel taller! ^.^
Bridesman
Harsh has been part of our circle of friends for years now since he first joined the MTAC crew. He has always been a fun personality and has shared countless memories with us. Also one of my co-workers, he has helped me maintain my sanity during end of quarters and has graciously pulled me away from the computer when I was about to start swinging!
Best Man
Jon is my closest and steadfast friend. We've known each other for over a decade, meeting as volunteers at MTAC. We bonded together as we put our shared communication skills to work. So many con weekends and adventures together, in many cramped car rides and crowded hotel rooms. Jon is cool and collected. He's always there to listen about troubles in my life or join in an eager conversation about our love of film and games. Plus I had to do this at his wedding, so it's payback time.
Groomswoman
Jess is who I want to be when I grow up. Jess is a dear friend and fellow con runner, an exemplary professional and a good-hearted colleague. She's always open to give me advice or slap some sense into me. Or just slap me in general. I cherish every time we get to see each other, enjoy some drinks, and nerd out.
Groomsman
Jamal is both one of the most mellow and enthusiastic people I know. We met at college attending MTSU's anime club. We're both nerds about the same shows and movies and games. We'll randomly text each other to rave about our latest D&D campaigns or recently-read comics. Tina and my dinner dates with Jamal and his awesome wife Lizzy are eagerly anticipated additions to our social calendar.
Groomsman
Growing up, Britt was that slightly-older cousin who was so cool that I couldn't help but gravitate towards at any family gathering. We were into similar geeky stuff, but he had an authority and assuredness that legitimized it for me. Plus he had great toys, like a sword I couldn't even pick up. While we don't see each other as often as we did when we were kids, I still enjoy catching up with my still cooler cousin.
