Matthew & I met back in 1986 at the now closed down, Martin's Corner Fire House. I was 15 and he was 21. At the time we were both involved with someone else, so we didn't give each other a second glance. Time goes by, we each got married & had children. More time goes by, I got divorced & started dating. Years later (2013) Matthew walks into his local Turkey Hill at which I was employed. We started talking, he told me that his wife & he were in the middle of a divorce. We had our first (date) of all places, Wal-Mart. We just walked around, window shopping as some people call it. Didn't buy anything, just walked, talked & looked at things that one or the other liked. Not to long after his divorce went through Matthew moved into my place with my adult son. A few months later as the weather warmed up & the ground thawed the cinder block supports under the mobile homes we were living shifted. The place slid, electric sparks went flying everywhere, water piped broke & I all but slid off my bed. The home was condemned so we had to move. Took us a few months but he rented another home in the same park. We have been through a lot of hard times but we are still here. So we have decided that it was time.
