Question

Is the wedding being postponed?

Answer

After speaking to our family, Mahendra and I have decided to postpone our wedding to June 29 and June 30, 2021.

Question

I already booked my room for your November wedding and transportation. What happens now?

Answer

If you have already booked your room and transportation for our original date, Shaadi Destinations will be reaching out to you via email with your new reservation. If I/we cancel, what happens to the money I/we paid for our room(s)?

Answer

If you purchased travel insurance when booking your room, you will receive 75% refund. If you did not purchase insurance, you will pay the penalty at the time you decide to cancel.

Has the room rates gone up?

Answer

No, Shaadi Destinations worked with the resort to get us a better room rate per person per night. YAY! If you've already booked and paid for your room via our link, you'll be receiving a refund on the credit card you used to pay for the room. Shaadi Destinations will be in touch with you.

If the wedding is rescheduled and we can no longer attend, do we receive a refund for the room?

Answer

What are the visa and/or passport requirements for Mexico?

Answer

Travel to Mexico requires valid passports, even for US Citizens. Please ensure that your passport expires after May 4, 2021 (6 months from the date of entry into Mexico). Mexico has no visa requirement for US Citizens, but you will be asked to fill out a FMM form (Mexico's visitor permit) on the plane or once you land. Once you get to immigration and customs at Cancún airport, the agents will give you the bottom half to retain until you leave the country. It is VERY important to keep this secure until you leave Mexico.

How do I book my room?

Rooms MUST be booked through the link below in order to attend both wedding events. Booking outside of the group block (including on the hotel’s website directly) is not allowed. What time is check-in and check-out at Generations and El Dorado?

Answer

Check-in time is at 3:00 pm and check-out time is at 12:00 pm. Reservations made through Shaadi Destinations will be given priority on early check-in times as we will make requests directly with resort management. Early check-in is not guaranteed, but the resort will do their best. Guests are welcome to enjoy the amenities all day on the day of check-in and check-out. Bags will be stored with your butler staff if you do not have access to your room.

WHAT IF I'M BRINGING KIDS?

Answer

They have great activities and areas tailored just for kids and teens. The Generations Riviera Maya is the family-friendly portion of the resort so you MUST stay in those rooms if you're bringing along anyone under 17 years of age. The kids will be allowed in all event venue sites.

WHO CAN HELP ME WITH MY FLIGHT?

When working with our Shaadi Destinations team, we were told that flights are the cheapest booked directly by the guest.

WHAT IF I DON'T DRINK ALCOHOL OR HAVE DIETARY NEEDS?

Answer

It's okay! There will be plenty of non-alcoholic beverages available, including Chai! Since this is an all inclusive resort, you will have access to variety of on-site restaurants such as Indian, Mexican, Thai, American, etc.

Is there transportation available between Cancun International Airport & the resort?
