Staying in - and getting around - Las Vegas
We're staying at The Signature at MGM Grand, but as long as you're on or near the strip, there's no wrong choice. Taxi services abound, there is a monorail that stops within walking distance of most major hotels, and even shuttle services to/from the airport at a very reasonable cost. If you need help finding a room, we're happy to help with your search - just let us know! By the way - if you like to play games on your phone, check out Pop Slots. You can earn loyalty points to exchange for freebies at many of MGM's properties ranging from a free cup of coffee to a 2 night stay (but check for blackout dates if you want to use your points for this trip). MGM and Caesars both offer free loyalty memberships that offer some good discounts too (we haven't been spammed or harassed at all since signing up).

Getting to the BBQ
If you've ever been to Hampden, you know how tight parking can be. The BEST way to get here is to take the light rail to Woodberry. Day passes are $4.20 and 1-way tickets are $1.80. Need more info? Let us know! Carpooling is a good option too. If you're driving, street parking is free and unrestricted as long as you don't cross Falls Road. The venue recommends parking a couple of blocks away on Buena Vista Avenue between 41st Street and Union Avenue. The offices on that street are closed on weekends, so spaces should be available - you can try the office lot as well, but at your own risk. Also - SHH!!! - if you park near another restaurant in the Meadow Mill lot, no one is going to question you. We won't tell if you don't! If you have mobility issues and will be driving to the event, please let us know ASAP. The staff will do their best to hold a parking space in front of the building.
