Things To Do

Generally, both Exeter and Portsmouth are extremely walkable! Below is a list of places we felt are worth mentioning.

Me & Ollie's Bakery & Cafe

64 Water Street, Exeter, NH 03833

Cafe for breakfast and lunch.

Las Olas Taqueria

30 Portsmouth Avenue, Exeter, NH 03833

Local favorite. Lots of locations in the area. Dean worked here through high school and college.

Ore Nell's Barbecue

2 Badgers Island West, Kittery, ME 03904

We both worked here for our final chapter in NH. Chef Will Myska has employed 4 family members (so far) and smokes the best BBQ in New England.

moxy

106 Penhallow St, Portsmouth, NH 03801

Excellent tapas, we try to go here at least once each time we visit.

The Friendly Toast

113 Congress Street, Portsmouth, NH 03801

Sit down breakfast spot. A Portsmouth landmark, Guy Fieri has been here lol.

The Big Bean Newmarket Kitchen & Bar

118 Main Street, Newmarket, NH 03857

Awesome breakfast, there's a few locations in the area but this one is the original (and best in our opinion).

Lil's Cafe

7 Wallingford Square, Kittery, ME 03904

Petey's Summertime Seafood

1323 Ocean Boulevard, Rye, NH 03870

Classic New England seafood joint.

The Press Room

77 Daniel Street, Portsmouth, NH 03801

Best bar in Portsmouth, not debatable.

The Wilder

174 Fleet Street, Portsmouth, NH 03801

This year's hottest cocktail bar. This place has everything. Espresso martinis on tap. Drama filled chance encounters. Several of one of the groomsman's past flings. Retired local skateboarders turned bar managers. A dumpster outside that's great to ring in the New Year behind. You name it.

Annabelle's Natural Ice Cream

49 Ceres Street, Portsmouth, NH 03801

Gilley's Diner

175 Fleet Street, Portsmouth, NH 03801

Late night food. The older lady who runs the place is as Portsmouth as it gets.
