Ceremony and Toast

Our wedding ceremony will be at the Gates of Heaven Synagogue in James Madison Park. Gates of Heaven was one of the oldest synagogues in the Midwest and is now a park shelter. Siena's parents, Roger and Pat, were married here. Tim's brother Rick Bedwell will officiate. After the ceremony we'll have a drink to toast in the park. We kindly request that our indoor ceremony is adults only, due to capacity restrictions at the Gates of Heaven park shelter. Your family is welcome to join us for a toast outside Gates of Heaven after the ceremony (the Ceremony will be indoors at 3pm and we will move outside around 3:45pm)

The Memorial Union terrace is a Madison institution, with colorful patio chairs and a beautiful view of Lake Mendota. There's drinks (alcoholic and otherwise) and food options at a grill on the patio for purchase. Seating is first come first serve. If the weather isn't agreeable we'll be inside the Memorial Union building at Der Rathskeller, a German-style beer hall. We recommend taking a cab, public transportation, or walking. For anyone still in town - take a mini hike to the end of Picnic Point where we'll have a bonfire. It's about a 15 minute walk down a dirt/gravel path. We'll be at FIRE CIRCLE #6. The trailhead is across the street from the parking lot - you're walking to the farthest point at the end of the narrow peninsula. "Technically" we aren't "allowed" to have "alcohol" at this function but BYOB at your discretion!
