09.2015 When Talia was choosing between law firms for a summer internship, one of the firms she was considering offered to have a past intern, another Fordham student the year above Talia (Tim!), take her and another student out to lunch to talk about the firm. Talia didn't end up joining Tim's law firm, but Tim didn’t forget about Talia.
05.2017 Like good millennials, Talia and Tim re-met on Coffee Meets Bagel, a dating app. Tim messaged Talia, who responded that she was only logging onto the app to delete it before focusing on finals and the bar exam. Tim still gave Talia his number and said to reach out if she wanted to take a study break at some point and grab a drink. Talia deleted the app.
09.2017 After talking about Tim for far too long, at the urging of two friends, Talia texted Tim to see if his May drink offer still stood. They ended up meeting for a drink at the Half Pint, watching a show at The Comedy Cellar, and talking until 4 AM. It was *perfect*.
07.2021 On a Friday evening, when Talia's friend cancelled dinner plans because her car (allegedly) broke down, Tim (who claimed he would be working all night) asked Talia if she could walk with him to pick up takeout. Through some masterful maneuvering, Tim brought Talia to her favorite path in Riverside Park, and in front of a clearing looking out on the Hudson River, got down on one knee and asked her to marry him. The next night, Tim planned a celebration with some of their closest friends and family at the Half Pint, the same place where they met on their first date.
