We both “swiped right” on the dating app called Bumble. Max’s “Rogue” collar caught Nicole’s attention and they matched on February 15th, 2019. Tim jokes that he got to avoid Valentine’s Day for 364 days. On their first date, Nicole brought her own salad dressing and despite this Tim invited her to his house that next weekend for chicken piccata. She got to meet the famous Maximus and crazy puppy Bella. Max may not have approved day 1 or day 100, but he came to love Tim’s choice for his dog mom.
Tim introduced Nicole to Blues hockey and she became an immediate superfan. They got to enjoy a Stanley Cup championship in their first year dating. They bonded over working out, pool days, cooking, and the pups. Tim was invited to Nicole’s family vacation in Kentucky where they found their love for hiking and each other. Four years later and they’ve hiked the Great Smokey Mountains, Grand Canyon, Glacier, Yellowstone, the Tetons, Zion, Bryce Canyon, and most importantly Rocky Mountain National Park.
Tim chose their 4th of July trip to Colorado to pop the question. They completed their first 14ner, Gray’s Peak, in the beginning of the trip and Nicole thought this was going to be it! How could anything else top this beauty and adrenaline rush?! Well Tim knew she was expecting it and waited until they were decending the mountain on the final day of the trip to finallllly ask for her hand in marriage. Tim and Nicole have decided to go back to Colorado for a small family wedding ceremony on September 7, 2023 in RMNP. When we get home, we will celebrate with a reception at Franklin County County Club on September 16, 2023.
