Question

Are children invited?

Answer

We love your children, but due to space and lack of child care services during the event we cannot accommodate guests under age 5 on our wedding day

What if I have a dietary restriction? Will there me food I can eat?

Answer

We will have food for those who eat meat as well as vegetarian, vegan, gluten free, Kosher, and no direct peanut ingredients. If you have concerns, let us know and we can share the menu with you.

Can I bring a plus one?

Answer

Due to space restrictions only those who are named on the invitation are invited to attend.

What should I wear?

Answer

I see weddings as a fun opportunity to wear something fancy and beautiful. Wear what you feel best in and what you'd want to be photographed in because we will be framing pictures and looking at them till death do us part. This is your chance for all the finery, dainty gloves, parasols, sharp suits, and hats! Overall the wedding will be formal and traditional.

Is there parking at the church?

Answer

There is parking available and overflow can park at the Fairport Public Library parking lot/garage. It is a short walk to the church, please arrive early if you have trouble walking or need to be dropped off. Reach out if you are concerned about parking or walking

Are the ceremony and reception taking place at the same location?

Answer

Correct, the ceremony will take place in the church sanctuary, light food and tea in the parlor, and the reception will be in fellowship hall on the floor below. There will be ushers to direct you where to go.

What is the timeline for the day?

Answer

11:00 am- Ceremony starts 12:30pm- Tea Party in the parlor as well as wedding party pictures 1:30pm- Reception in fellowship hall 3:30pm-Bride and groom will leave for honeymoon

What time should I arrive to the ceremony?

Answer

Please arrive no earlier than 10:40am for the 11:00am ceremony. There will be full coatroom available and an usher will show you to your section.

Is the whole wedding inside?

Answer

Yes. The ceremony, tea in the parlor, and reception will be inside the church.

What type of food and drink will be served?

Answer

Water will be available before there ceremony. Tea in the parlor will serve tea, coffee, finger sandwiches, and many desserts. The reception will have many options for soups, wraps, a salad, many desserts, and a wedding cake.

Will there be an open bar or alcohol?

Answer

Alcohol is not permitted on the church property.

Have you booked hotel room blocks for guests?

Answer

Because of the small number of out of town guests, we do not have a specific hotel block. Please reach out to us if you need any advice on where to stay!

Can I take pictures during the ceremony to post on social media?

Answer

There will be no pictures taken except for the photographer durning the ceremony. After it is finished feel free to take pictures the rest of the time. Feel free to post whatever pictures you would like to social media or share with other guests.

When is the RSVP deadline?

Answer

The deadline is September 14th, 2023.

I can't attend the wedding in person. Will there be a virtual wedding celebration?

Answer

There will be a livestream from the Fairport United Methodist Facebook page for the ceremony only. https://www.facebook.com/FairportUMC/

I'm visiting from out of town. What can I do while I'm in Fairport?

Answer

Please see our "Things to Do" page for fun ideas in the area.

Can I bring my gift to the wedding? Or only through the registry?

Answer

Your presence is present enough, but should you wish to bring a gift to our wedding, there will be a gift table for your convenience. A wedding card box will also be available. if you wish to send a gift please send to Timothy Bovee 7045 Chili Riga Center Road, Churchville, NY 14428.

What health and safety measures will you be taking during the event?

Answer

We will be watching the covid numbers carefully and adjust if needed. Masks will be available for those who want them, or make a fun one to match your outfit! As we have many loved older guests and amino conpromised guests please let us know if you are feeling ill close to the wedding day. there will be lots of bathrooms for hand washing as well!

is the church wheel chair or mobility impaired friendly?

Answer

Yes! There is an elevator top each floor as well as seating for wheelchairs in the sanctuary pews and the tables for the reception.

Are there any colors or styles you'd prefer me to wear?

Answer

The groomsmen will be dressed in brown suits and the bridesmaids will be dressed in forest green dresses. Still feel free to wear those colors if you wish!
