We recommend flying into Milan Malpensa (MXP) — it’s the closest major airport. From Milan, take a train to Lugano Stazione (~1 hr) or Shuttle Bus (~1.40 hr, book in advance).
You can also drive from Milan (1.5–2 hrs) — just check your rental covers Switzerland.
