Although we love your little ones, our wedding ceremony and reception will be an adults-only affair.

What is to be expected at a Vietnamese wedding?

Answer

Obviously some Vietnamese food will be served at the reception but not really anything different aside from table visits. During the reception, the couple will visit each table to greet guests and receive their gifts. Guests may also be invited to toast the couple at this time.

Do I bring a gift?

Answer

In Vietnamese wedding traditions, giving cash as a gift is a common and highly appreciated gesture. Symbol of Good Fortune and Prosperity: Cash symbolizes blessings for the couple's financial future and a prosperous beginning to their married life. It's a way to wish them good luck and wealth as they establish their home and family. Red Envelopes (Lì Xì): Cash gifts are typically presented in red envelopes, known as "lì xì" (bao lì xì), which are symbolic of good luck and happiness in Vietnamese culture. (we will provide this on each table at the wedding) Etiquette: Guests should also write their name on the envelope so the couple knows who the gift is from.

Due to limited spots, not everyone will be able to bring a plus 1. You will be able to find out if you can when you RSVP through the website.
