Maid of Honor
Eileen is my cousin, the sister I never had. We were both born and raised in the Philippines and being the only girls in the families, we were never the girly-girl and both learned our brothers’ ways. Our humor is consistent with how some guys think. When we are together, we just laugh at random things – anything to get the laughing spell going. We have been there for each other since birth and she is the ultimate confidant I got. She’s always just one call away and can always sense when I need her.
Bridesmaid
I’ve known Nicole since Nursing school in 2009. I did not think we were going to be friends because she always looked angry! Then we started talking and shared how miserable we felt in the first semester so we started group studies. We always met at Panera Bread and our group studies turned into venting sessions of just about anything! Nicole easily became my best friend. We have shared a lot of tears, laughter and life changes. She always had the mentality of striving for more and has rubbed off on me somehow and that’s how I was able to finish my BSN. Nicole is always good at giving advice and reading people so I always go to her when I need to spill my heart out! I am grateful for this friendship I have with her because she literally has been there for me since day one!!
Bridesmaid
Chrissa and I have known each other since we practically stepped foot in the USA back in 2001. We have been through the rough transition of acculturation and assimilation of the West. We can all assume how rough high school can be. We met in PE class - she struggled to open her locker and then asked me for help. We then both discovered we were new to the school and we spoke the same native language so we got excited. We started to compare schedule of classes but realized we only had PE together. So we started hanging out during lunch breaks and after school. If the definition of a “ride or die” was a person, it would be Chrissa! She always goes above and beyond the friendship and always drops everything for her friends. Anyone should feel lucky to have established a friendship with her.
Bridesmaid
I have known Rona since high school and met her through Chrissa in 2001. I was excited to find out another girl in school speaking my native language so I didn’t feel so alone anymore! We have been through the rough transition of acculturation and assimilation of the West. But I wouldn’t have it any other way because we made great memories along the way!
Best Man
Cary and I met in Hawaii while I was on a travel assignment for work. He had just sold his golf shop shop and was crashing on a friend's couch for a month and had a lot of time on his hand. So we were able to get to know each other very easily since we had the same common interests like golf and partying. I'm pretty sure the only thing in life we don't both enjoy is seafood. He hates it and I love it. From there he went back to his home in Vegas so when my assignment was done, I travelled to Australia for a year but decided to try Vegas since I knew he lived there. Ever since 2008 our friendship grew and we even became business partners in our real estate business. There's not one bad thing I can say about my best man and honored he's standing by my side!!
Groomsman
Every one knows him by “No Neck Jamie” but I know him as my favorite Mexican. I met this guy through another guest coming to the wedding, Logan Turner. We first shook hands at Liquid pool party where he was able to use and abuse one of his many perks as a firefighter to get a deal on a day bed. I didn't have money to give towards the tip for drinks so he thought I was a cheap bastard therefore we didn't start off perfect. But after the party I got money straight out of the ATM and our friendship was great from there on. Our humor towards each other is very similar (dark) so we got along great. I definitely consider Jamie one of my best friends and know when I'm down and out he can always make me laugh whether it being sincere or a joking manner. Btw he's single ladies wink wink!
Groomsman
I have know Donnie since my very first days as a travel nurse in Vegas. He was an agency nurse luckily working on my unit that night. Our first interaction was placing a rectal tube for an old lady that couldn't stop pooping and every time we tried inflating the balloon it kept popping out so clearly with our sense of humors we couldn't stop laughing. Donnie and I over all these years might have laughed more than anyone I've ever known which could be why we have such amazing and defined abs, lol. When we get the giggles its really hard to stop (ask Jamie, the mexican). But all funny stuff aside Donnie has always been by my side and I could talk to him about anything whether it being something serious or an idea for a chapter in our nursing book in the future.
Groomsman
Pat is a friend I've known the longest which is during my most immature days at Michigan State University. We were both Evans Scholars (Golf Caddy Scholarship) and as a scholar we were provided a house just off campus that housed about 60 other peeps. As a freshman you get to school to work on the house and bond with the other guys and girls. Pat and I shared a common interest right away which is to take money from others in pool or ping pong but mainly pool. Eventually we became hustling partners at the bars to support our beer and food money each night keeping us from needing jobs. Pat has truly been there by my side for years and has grown into a successful business and family man which I idle him for that. I've learned a lot from him and truly value his friendship and advice!
