Guest arrival begins at 3pm. The ceremony beings at 3:30pm
ASAP! If we do not receive an RSVP response back from you by the date we have requested, it will be marked “No.” We will miss you celebrating with us, however, we have to provide a total guest count to our venue in a timely manner, and for this reason, we cannot accept late RSVPs. Thank you for understanding!
We’d love to see you dress to impress! We are excited to have a semi formal wedding, so no jeans! Weather permitting, our ceremony will be held outside in the grass. September in the Rockies can be somewhat temperamental - with hot, sunny and sometimes windy days… but when that sun goes down make sure you have something to keep warm. Don’t forget your shades and sunblock.
Unfortunately we were not able to room block, due to it being wedding season in a small mountain town, leaf peeping season & the nearby popular outdoor music amphitheater concerts. If you are trying to find a room for the night (or a few) please make sure you start looking right now! There are a few hotels in Golden, which is about 20 to 30 minutes away from the venue. If you’re willing to drive farther, there are lots of options on the western side of Denver. These options are going to be 30 to 40 minutes away. There is a Best Western in Golden that is less than 20 minutes away. Another option is Comfort Inn Denver West Arvada Station in Wheat Ridge. See our travel page for a few other options. If you want to look at Airbnb‘s, there are still some options near Evergreen, but please keep in mind, things are moving very fast. We ask you to do your due diligence, and look around for something that suits your needs, if you’re trying to stay nearby. This is one thing you shouldn’t sleep on.
We will have a cocktail hour with passed hors d’oeuvres, and a buffet style dinner with two carving stations. Menu items to follow.
Please let us know when you RSVP if you have any food allergies.
The elevation in Evergreen, CO is 7,218ft. Give yourself time to acclimate. Drink lots of water in the days leading up to your trip and while you’re here. Don’t be afraid to skip the alcohol and note general symptoms of altitude sickness. It doesn’t affect everyone, and not in the same ways, but I think it is worth mentioning, so just pay attention to your body. The Colorado sun is one of the best things about Colorado (in my opinion) but it gets hot at higher elevations and you’ll burn quickly if you don’t bring sun protection.
There are elk herds that call the greens at the Hiwan Club home. Take your pictures from a distance!
We have set up a wedding registry online and will have a card box at the venue.
We are not planning anything official. Dinner Saturday and breakfast Monday will be reserved for our close family. Otherwise, treat this weekend as a little getaway, and make time to do things you enjoy, too.
We love Colorado - and hope you do too! September might be a little early for our Aspens to change colors, but Evergreen is a quaint mountain town. Explore the outdoors. Golden, CO is a cute mining town and home to the Coors Brewery. Black Hawk has casinos if you’re feeling lucky. There’s plenty of hiking or fishing, or even enjoy a concert at Red Rocks Amphitheater.
Although we love your Littles, this will be an adult only celebration. We hope you take the opportunity to treat our wedding day as a night to relax and enjoy!
