We met at an Auburn alumni event (Lauren's alma mater) at Ferg's. Jun (the boyfriend of bridesmaid Angela) was hosting a beer tasting for his brewery there, where we found our new favorite beer (citrusitas) and our new favorite people (each other).

I (Lauren) was visiting family in Tallahassee a little before Christmas while Tim was on a work trip. Tim flew into Tallahassee to stay the night and drive back with me. That night, we went to a beautiful park downtown to take Christmas pictures with my family. During the last picture Tim got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. I screamed "Oh my God, really?!" and we hugged and kissed and though I never said it, we both knew that meant "YES!"
