Groom
In March of this year, Tim graduated from UCSB with a degree in Linguistics and Communication while working as a student staff intern for InterVarsity Christian Fellowship. He is currently fundraising to begin working full time this upcoming fall. As a Campus Minister, he focuses much of his time on "Salaam," a bible study he founded his Sophomore year for Middle Eastern students to read Scripture through their own cultural lens and ethnic experience. He is currently in the process of planting a second chapter of Salaam at UCSD and hopes to plant at more campuses in the coming years. Outside of InterVarsity Tim enjoys supporting the tech team at their church, New Life Church SB. Bride
After graduating from UCSB's Master's of Education program in 2020, Kyler began her first year teaching at La Cumbre Jr. High last fall. This school year, she has taught 7th grade Math and PE and has enjoyed her first year teaching despite all of the challenges of online and hybrid teaching. She is excited to continue teaching at La Cumbre next year and is very happy that she will have the opportunity to teach a full schedule of Math, which is where her true passion lies. Aside from teaching, she is excited to continue to support InterVarsity Christian Fellowship in her upcoming role as a staff wife -- which, for her, means professional snack bringer and party thrower. She is also excited to begin volunteering in children's ministry at their church, New Life Church SB.
Timothy & Kyler
When Tim accidentally stumbled upon an InterVarsity Bible study their freshman year at UCSB, little did he realize that by agreeing to stay he had agreed to meet his future wife. Tim quickly became a regular member of the study and quickly became close friends with Kyler. By the end of the year, they realized God had more in store for them than just friendship. They began intentionally pursuing a potential relationship over the summer, and as their interest in each other grew, so did their commitment to one another. Their relationship formally began at the onset of their sophomore year and blossomed into much more throughout their college careers. Now, almost three years later, it has become obvious that their initial meeting was more than a coincidence - it was God's handiwork at play.
