We first met through shared classes in high school and interaction through church ministries in 2017, while Haylees family was stationed in Hawaii. We started our budding relationship through two prom’s, a mission trip, and several other church and school activities together. In the summer of 2019, Haylee moved to Virginia in order to take care of her family while also going to ODU. TJ stayed in Hawaii pursuing commissioning through UH. We tried to visit each other on every break we could, often pooling together money for visits and navigating tight schedules. Distance proved and strengthened our relationship and taught us how to be independent and to also cherish moment together more dearly. Upon completion of nursing school and ROTC in 2023, ending long distance seemed more tangible. In 2024 TJ was stationed at JBLM, Washington and decided to make the next moves towards furthering our relationship. On a recent visit in September of 2024, TJ asked Haylee for her hand in marriage at Chambers Bay. Now, in 2025, 6 years of long distance relationship is coming to an end. Opening up endless opportunities for our relationship, but also our professional and spiritual lives. We hope that you join us in adding a lifelong memory by attending our wedding.
