Bride vs Groom Softball Game
6:00 pm - 7:30 pm
In a shock to absolutely no one, we would like to compete with each other before our wedding so one of us can go into the weekend with a superiority complex that will inevitably piss off the other. If you can't make it down to Starved Rock but would like to join us for the game and after party, please do! Just let us know on the RSVP form. We will also include an option to just watch if you don't want to play. After we have a final list of players, we will draft you onto our teams.
After Game Party

Please join us at the bar we bring our kids to after the game to meet everyone and discuss how good we are at softball. We're excited to take you on a tour where we show you the sites of some of our favorite memories, such as where we first kissed, where we made our relationship official, where we spent a day's income on TouchTunes after Kendrick's most recent album dropped, where we watched Tim Anderson get knocked tf out, where we watched Michigan win the natty and the Lions blow their chance at the Super Bowl, where we watched future hall of famer and prodigy Jayden Daniels play his first game, and where we developed a nicotine pouch addiction. This is a gay sports bar - it will work for all of you.

We will be arriving at the Lodge in the morning. We plan to spend our day hiking our favorite trails, swimming, eating fourteen meals, playing cards, seeing you, and ending the night with one or ten Budweiser in a bottle and one or ten Malibu Tito's cranberry pineapple grenadine orange with a cherry at The Back Door Lounge. We'll let you guess who drinks what. Check out our "Things To Do" section for our favorite recommendations at the Lodge and in the area.

THE DAMN THING

We'll start with a brief ceremony where we will show you what it looked like when we exchanged vows in May 2025. If we're being real, this an excuse to give June center stage as our flower girl and grant our officiant time for his tight five so he doesn't grab a mic during the reception. This is an outdoor ceremony if it's above 50 degrees! We will make our way inside immediately after for a cocktail hour and reception! Dinner, speeches, dancing, THE WHOLE DAMN THING. We will have an open bar for the first three hours of the event and it will magically transform itself into a cash bar for the rest of the night. Tip your bartender!
