Lake Bomoseen
There is plenty to do right on Lake Bomoseen! If you booked a room with The Lodge, you have access to their kayaks and paddleboards for free. Go ahead and explore the lake! Crystal Beach is just a short trip down the road for beach access to enjoy some pre-wedding relaxation. There are plenty of restaurants near by to grab a bite to eat or a drink right on the water. The Lake House Bar and Grille is right down the street from the Lodge and the Palms is just across the street!
Castleton
You can always hop into Castleton for some lunch at the Birdseye Diner, Roxie's Fries, or the Blue Cat Bistro! If it's dinner you want, the Iron Lantern is always a great choice. If you're feeling extra motivated, there is a chance the Castleton University Spartans will be hosting a home football game - just don't be late for the wedding!
Rutland Farmers Market
Head on into Rutland to check out our awesome Farmer's Market! The Vermont Farmers Market is one of the largest and most diverse farmers markets in Vermont. You can finish up your trip with lunch at any of the awesome restaurants right in downtown (Roots, Table 24, Little Harry's, Hop N Moose, Ruff Life Coffee) or grab a beer brewed by Rutland Beer Works at the Hop N Moose!
White Rocks National Recreation Area
Go take a hike at White Rocks Recreational Area in Wallingford! There are many beautiful hiking destinations around the area and a quick google search will give you an array of options. White Rocks is one of my favorite hikes as it opens up to vast, sweeping views of the green mountains and the valleys below.
Bomoseen Golf Club
Go ahead and book a tee time at the 9-hole golf course right across the street from the Lake Bomoseen Lodge and Taproom. If you're staying with us at the Lodge, you can just walk across the street for a quick round!
