What time should I arrive?

Answer

Doors will open at 5:15 PM. Guests are welcome to arrive then. The ceremony will begin promptly at 5:30 PM, and we kindly ask that all guests be seated by that time.

Where will the ceremony and reception take place?

Answer

The ceremony and cocktail hour will take place outdoors, weather permitting. Dinner and the reception will follow inside the museum.

What is the dress code?

Black Tie Optional. Gentlemen are invited to wear a tuxedo or a dark suit with a tie. Ladies are invited to wear a formal floor-length or tea-length gown.

Late August in Chicago is typically warm and pleasant, with cooler temperatures in the evening, particularly outdoors.

How do I get to the Chicago History Museum?

Answer

The Chicago History Museum is a short ride from the hotels listed in our accommodations section. Uber, Lyft, and other ride-share services are readily available throughout the city.

Will parking be available?

Answer

Yes. A secure public parking facility is located one block north of the museum at 1730 North Stockton Drive. Complimentary parking vouchers will be available for our guests to pick up at the front desk in the main lobby upon arrival.
