The Tri-Tip Challenge is a popular, informal San Luis Obispo tradition that involves hiking three local mountain peaks—the Cal Poly "P", Cerro San Luis (Madonna Mountain), and Bishop Peak—followed by a celebratory tri-tip sandwich from Firestone Grill. Fun fact: Kaylee did this her freshman year of college with her mom, Kendra, and a close family friend, Heather Woods.
Located on Cal Poly’s campus, the Architecture Graveyard is a unique outdoor collection of experimental student-built structures. It's home to the annual Design Village, which invites students to design and build temporary structures that they then spend the weekend sleeping in.
