Our story started at North Carolina Central University in McLean Residence Hall—she was the RA on the 3rd floor, and I lived just one floor below. Little did she know, I had a crush and we would become forever roommates! For a moment in life, we went our separate ways, but you know what they say: ‘If it’s meant to be, it will find its way!’ In 2019, we found our way back to each other. And on February 17, 2020, I asked her to be my girlfriend, and that moment changed everything. What began in college quickly grew into something much deeper built on laughter, late-night video calls, and unwavering support. Over the past five years, she has shown me what true love really means, and I knew she was the one. Not only is she the love of my life, but also one of the best human beings I’ve ever met. On July 4, 2025, I asked her to marry me, and she said yes! Now we’re counting down the days until May 2, 2026, when we officially start our forever. This story may have started in a college dorm, but it’s only the beginning of a lifetime and I can’t wait to marry not only my fiancée, but also my best friend, my peace, and my favorite person.
