What are Romanian customs?

Answer

When a couple decides to start their life together, it's common that friends and family join in helping them do that. While in some countries household gifts are the way to go, this is not very popular in Romania. Guests are encouraged in gifting money to the couple, so that they can spend it on the wedding party and honeymoon. There will be a box and envelopes available at the end of the wedding party - after the cake. If you have a very cool gift for us - please don't bring it with you, as we go straight to our honeymoon after the wedding. Bring a picture with you and leave it in the box and we will arrange how to collect it when we are back from our honeymoon :)
