We’ll see you at Waterloo!

After college, Mark found a job doing door-to-door sales for a renewable energy provider, and knocked on doors all over the Chicagoland area. Timarie was living in Chicago, and had been working for an organic vegetable gardening company which she loved, but it wasn't quite working for the city living. So she happened to apply for the same company as Mark. He was the one who interviewed her, hired her, and trained her. So we spent 5 hours a day together the first week of knowing each other! We clicked immediately, and Mark was sold⎯and persistent. Timarie thought it was probably not the right move to date someone at work, but thankfully Mark was already considering his next chapter. The timing lined up, trust came quickly, and we’ve been together ever since. Our life together has been consistently spontaneous from the beginning, which sounds like an oxymoron but perfectly captures our sense of adventure and willingness to say “yes.” We prioritize family, friends, and fun, and spend our time seeing live music, traveling, going to sporting events, and volunteering in our community. With all that “doing”, we also love to be home, and play cards, board games and darts and hang with our pets. And we laugh every single day. Food is also a huge part of our lives. Growing food has long been a passion for Timarie, and together we’ve adopted a lifestyle that has helped to heal Mark from the inside out. This shift wasn’t easy, but it’s made a profound difference in what we’re able to do, and has become one of our shared values. We’re deeply thankful for the healing power of good, nutritious food, but also simply thankful that we decided to make the change. This yes-mentality has led to many exciting changes and plenty of growth, both individually and as a couple, but we’ve never lost sight of what made us click in the first place. We are so excited to celebrate the start of this next chapter with all of you. We know this one’s been a long time coming, and we can’t wait to see everyone out on the dance floor.
